To date, Dr. Klim completed a little over 17 years of federal service. During her time at the VA, Dr. Klim saw the difficulties many Veterans had navigating the Mental Health system. She held a unique insight being both a provider and Veteran transitioning from her active duty career. Eventually she left the VA, determined to start her own private practice in hopes to provide care where traditional Mental Health services failed. In particular she set out to reduce barriers to care unique to rural areas (such as, indictment weather and lack of transportation or childcare). Dr. Klim has worked in a variety of different settings to include inpatient, outpatient, Emergency Departments, Primary Care Clinics, hospitals, field clinics, in-home or workplace care, telehealth, and now online.
Dr. Klim is a well-rounded clinician providing treatment for all types of difficulties that include trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorders, marital therapy, parenting problems, and adjustment issues. She also completes psychological, cognitive, disability, and forensic assessments/evaluations. She is trained in several Evidence-based treatments (EBTs) for PTSD including, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE).
To say Dr. Klim really enjoys working with the Veteran and Active Duty population is an understatement, rather she considers it an honor. She is excited at the chance to help patients by offering etherapy, which offers the potential to reach a wider range of patients.
