Kayce Bragg is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina and is also currently a candidate for Supervision for those seeking the LPC license in SC. She has been working in the community mental health field since 2011 as the current Clinical Director for a statewide non-profit organization that serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and various other Mood/Psychotic Disorders.
At the beginning of 2016, Kayce branched out to private practice, providing telehealth therapy services to the residents of South Carolina through online platforms using messaging, phone, and video tools. She specializes in treating such issues as depression, anxiety, difficulty adapting to life situations, relationship issues, stress caused by pressure at work or home, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, other difficulties maintaining life balance, developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, stress management, personal empowerment and advocacy, healthy leisure habits, and other important life skills. She also has experience with addictions issues and is equipped to help with related problems.
Kayce tends to use a model for therapy that integrates brief and time-limited solution-focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and other modalities that focus more on what you are experiencing in the here and now as well as coming up with solutions to help you feel better and maintain improved balance in life. She believes in treating the mind, body, and spirit and the importance of the whole well-rounded person, and she is passionate about fighting for the rights of those with mental illness while eradicating stigma.
SUPERVISION: Kayce is now accepting LPC Interns who need to do their supervision hours towards their license. She believes in a collaborative solution-focused model of supervision and often uses case conceptualizations to practice the core skills in a hands-on manner. The Midlands of SC is where Kayce calls home along with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, crafting, taking dance classes, and going to the beach!
Kayce has been a member of the American Counseling Association, NAADAC and SCAADAC- the National and SC Associations for Addiction Professionals, a Nationally Certified Counselor, a member of Chi Sigma Iota- the International Honor Society for Professional Counselors. She is also currently an affiliate member of the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, a member of the South Carolina Association of Licensed Professionals, and the South Carolina Counselors Association.
