Manisha received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno and is Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in both Nevada and New York.
She enjoys helping people who have experienced trauma or a stressful event that is causing them to have symptoms that are too difficult to manage on their own. She helps client’s find a healthier self-perception and guides them in strengthening their relationships with others.
Manisha is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Motivational Interviewing. She is also certified in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, 2020 Mom, and is a Financial Social Worker through the Center for Financial Social Work. Manisha believes in a person-centered approach as she recognizes how positive rapport and empathy inside the therapeutic relationship can motivate clients towards change.
Manisha has worked in a variety of settings providing counseling to individuals, couples, children and adolescents in home-based programs, residential care, non-profit sectors, outpatient, rehabilitation programs, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. Manisha has also worked with individuals diagnosed with severe developmental intellectual disabilities and assisted clients with resources and advocated for their rights.
Manisha lived in Reno, NV for most of her life but recently moved to New York with her family. She enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the east coast.
