Adult ADHD Assessments – Compassionate, Affirming, and Accessible
Feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or like you’re constantly playing catch-up? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to keep wondering if ADHD might be the reason. I offer virtual ADHD assessments for adults (18+) in Colorado, Florida, and Georgia that are thoughtful, neurodivergent-affirming, and designed to meet your real-life needs.
Why Get Assessed for ADHD?
An ADHD assessment can be a powerful tool for self-understanding. Many adults reach a point where they start to connect the dots—struggles with focus, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, or burnout in work, school, or relationships. When you’re neurodivergent, finding a name for your experience can be incredibly validating.
An accurate ADHD diagnosis can help:
- Improve executive functioning and emotional regulation
- Build strategies to manage stress and daily tasks
- Enhance relationships and communication
- Unlock treatment options and support plans
- Request accommodations in school or work environments
Whether you’ve always suspected ADHD or only recently started wondering, getting assessed is a great step toward clarity and care.
What Makes My Approach Different?
I know that formal evaluations can be expensive, inaccessible, and often not affirming. My approach is practical, warm, and efficient—with most clients completing the entire process within two weeks of their consultation. I also ensure my assessments are grounded in the latest clinical best practices and accessible for those who may not need or want a full psychological evaluation.
As CHADD notes, “The professional’s level of knowledge and expertise about adult ADHD is often more important than the type of degree they hold.” As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a PhD in Health Psychology, I stay current with evidence-based ADHD assessment practices and provide services within my licensure scope.
My ADHD Assessment Process
Step 1: Pre-Assessment
- You’ll complete online questionnaires and rating scales (30–45 minutes total).
- Optional: You may include input from family, coworkers, a therapist, or others who know you well to provide additional context.
Step 2: Clinical Interview
- We’ll meet virtually for a 60–90 minute conversation focused on your history, challenges, strengths, and how ADHD traits may be showing up in your life.
Step 3: Written Report
- Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a detailed 15–20 page report.
- It includes diagnostic impressions, a summary of your symptoms, and specific, real-life strategies and recommendations.
- If requested, I’ll include documentation to support classroom or workplace accommodations.
Important Notes on Scope & Suitability
This is not a full psychological evaluation. My assessments are ideal for:
- Gaining clarity on ADHD symptoms
- Working with a prescriber for potential medication support
- Requesting workplace and most classroom accommodations
This assessment does not meet criteria for standardized testing accommodations (e.g., MCAT, LSAT, GRE), which require evaluation by a licensed psychologist or neuropsychologist. If you need that level of testing, I’m happy to help you find the right referral.
Cost and Insurance Information
- Total Cost: $375 (self-pay only)
- While I do not bill insurance directly, I provide documentation you can submit for potential partial reimbursement.
Qualifications You Can Trust
I’ve completed graduate-level training in testing and assessment and continuously pursue continuing education in ethical and evidence-based clinical practices. I provide services that are affirming, transparent, and grounded in both research and compassion.
