Another trick to teach your kids to calm down: Count your teeth with your tongue!! Strange, well… kind of. But try it and see if you continue to think about that stressful thought or if your mind is distracted, thus reducing your anxiety level. Ask them, “How many teeth do you have?” By the way…Do you know how many teeth YOU have? :o)
