Learn more about therapy with me!
OCD is loud, convincing, and exhausting, but it is not who you are. Therapy with me focuses on helping you face fear with bravery, self-understanding, and support. I specialize in treating OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) alongside parts work and self-understanding. OCD can create a fearful, urgent inner voice that slowly begins to feel like your identity. Together, we work to separate you from the OCD, reduce compulsions and rumination, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself underneath the fear.
My approach to therapy is warm, honest, and evidence-based (and humorous) to help clients move toward meaningful change. I believe bravery is not the absence of fear: it is feeling fear and choosing not to let OCD make your decisions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, insightful people who are tired of organizing their lives around intrusive thoughts, reassurance-seeking, perfectionism, or endless mental loops. Therapy with me is active and growth-oriented, and I tend to work best with people who are ready to engage deeply in the process of change.
As your therapist, I offer a safe, judgment-free space for you to bring your pain and your worries. We’ll work together to find out what you need, and collaborate to stay on-task and focused on your goals. I have immense hope for you, and I’m grateful to be on this journey with you.
About Dr. Keeya Prairie, PsyD
Dr. Keeya Prairie is a licensed clinical psychologist in Oregon and New York. She obtained her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis. Her predoctoral internship at Southern Utah University’s Counseling and Psychological Services emphasized support for queer, rural, and religious intersections.
Prior to that, she gained diverse experiences at a community mental health center, college counseling center, and private practices. Dr. Prairie has two main areas of clinical focus: early childhood wounds and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which often overlap.
Dr. Prairie guides exploration of the inner child and various parts of the self, pulling from the Inner Family Systems (IFS) model, to address childhood conflicts that often manifest as relationship challenges, low self-esteem, people-pleasing, or mental health symptoms like depression, anxiety, or PTSD.
Dr. Prairie also finds parts work helpful for OCD, to help distinguish between OCD thoughts and the thoughts of the true Self. Additionally, she uses traditional Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) techniques to address compulsive symptoms and stop the endless thought cycle of OCD. She works with all types of OCD, including sexual orientation, pedophilic, and harm subtypes.
Dr. Prairie also provides thorough, accurate, and affirming psychological assessments. She has built a trusted assessment practice in her local community from the ground up, rooted in clinical excellence and deep care. Now expanding to telehealth, Dr. Prairie offers remote ADHD evaluations to increase access for adults, especially those stuck on long waitlists for in-person testing so they can get answers and support sooner.
She is especially passionate about identifying ADHD in adult women, who are often misdiagnosed or overlooked entirely. With a comprehensive approach that includes evidence-based tools, in-depth clinical interviews, and a trauma-informed lens, Dr. Prairie ensures that clients walk away not just with a diagnosis (if applicable), but with real insight into how their brain works, and a clearer path forward. Her goal is for every client to feel seen, understood, and empowered to better navigate their lives.
In her free time, Keeya spends much of her time outdoors. She hikes, camps, backpacks, and crafts by the fire. She especially loves adventuring and cuddling with her dog, Buffalo. Dr. Prairie identifies as a queer therapist, and actively creates safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ and gender nonconforming individuals.
