Learn more about therapy with me!

I am a doctoral-level licensed psychologist, with extensive training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I utilize CBT along with other therapies, including interpersonal therapy, Mindfulness and ACT, all shown through research to be effective in treating a wide variety of client concerns.

I strongly believe I best serve my clients by providing them with therapy that we know works and works well.  I am highly experienced working with a wide variety of client concerns and have specialties in helping clients with anxiety, stress, difficult life transitions, sleep problems, OCD, work and relationship issues, health issues, and aging and loss.  My approach to therapy is short term, practical and clearly focused on finding solutions that work for clients to overcome current obstacles and move forward with confidence.

Additionally, I am Board Certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) and also a Diplomate in BSM.  This means I am uniquely trained and qualified to help clients with sleep problems and issues, including insomnia, nightmares and other sleep disorders.  Poor sleep often becomes intertwined with stress, anxiety, mood concerns and irritability which I address as well.

I believe therapy is best approached collaboratively within a therapy relationship that is warm, affirming, empathic and understanding which I am dedicated to providing to everyone I see.  In therapy we will partner together to understand your concerns, and develop an individualized therapy plan to accomplish the changes you would like to make in your life. I will meet you where you are and help get you to where you want to be.

My overriding goal for clients is that they feel better and resolve the issues that brought them to therapy.  I also work to equip clients with the skills, self-confidence and resilience they can apply effectively to their present situation and also in the future when other issues arise…because they do…because it’s life.

Life can be really hard sometimes; let me help you get back on track, get unstuck or find a new path or solution.
