ABOUT GRANT MENADUE

Grant Menadue is a resident of Des Moines, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grand View University (Des Moines, IA) and is currently completing his Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University. He is on track to graduate in Fall of 2023.

Through his undergraduate and graduate studies, Grant has gained extensive knowledge into various mental health conditions, theoretical orientations, and therapeutic interventions. Through his education Grant has become familiar with topics such as: lifespan development, couples & family counseling, career counseling, and individual counseling. Grant enjoys supporting couples, individuals, and families in meeting their goals. He is most passionate about working with adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship issues, or those who are interested in improving any aspect of their life in general.

Grant believes that one of the most important factors in successful counseling is to build a positive and meaningful therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. He will spend time getting to know you, your perspective, and your unique strengths & weaknesses by offering a non-judgmental environment to allow clients the opportunity for reflection and self-exploration. Grant believes clients are the experts of their own lives and helps to encourage positive self-actualization, client autonomy, and decision making by helping clients better identify emotions and/or thought patterns that may be effecting their overall well-being.

Grant’s preferred models for therapy include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

Grant is a member of the American Counseling Association. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, working out, playing guitar, being outside, and spending time with his wife and dog Lola.
